The Popple Family | Under the Trees at Ferry Meadows, Peterborough | Calton Photography

Last weekend, on the hottest weekend so far this year, the Popple Family & I decided it would be a good day for a photoshoot...and we melted!

Thankfully, we took our time, found plenty of shade and even stopped for and ice cream and a cold drink halfway through.

We headed to Ferry Meadows which is this family's favourite place to go for walks and in the school holidays. We met where their favourite tree was, however someone was occupying it so we went for wander round in the hopes that by the time we came back they would be gone....which fortunately they were!

Here's the results, what do you think?

I'll show you what other awesome places we found too..

Trampoline

We found some trampolines and thought "why not?"

Logs

This log created a very great place for a family portrait:

We also found another log...

These were some of my favourites, on a much smaller log/tree stump:

Water

The water is also a beautiful backdrop. As you can tell, it was a particularly bright day which created a lot of contrast.

Walkways

It's as simple as a country lane to create another picturesque backdrop.

So as you can see, this place is so versatile, and you can use so many different things as a backdrop for your photos outside.

Keep scrolling for some final favourites.

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed this shoot!
