Not only was this shoot for a family member and we got to meet the latest addition to the family, Carter. This shoot was at their home, making it even more personal.
Bekah had chosen neutral colours for the boys and herself and these worked so well.
I love using neutral colours, or quite earthy colours, in my shoots. Bright colours, or lots of patterns do sometimes distract from a photo I feel. My aim is to create timeless photographs that you can hang in your home, wherever and for generations to come, and I think neutral, earthy tones are just right for that. Thankfully, neutral is quite 'in' at the moment!
Carter's oldest brother wasn't able to be here, so Bekah wanted to focus mainly on the newest addition, Carter. But his second oldest brother (pictured) was so smitten with him we couldn't say no!
We got some with Mum and Dad too of course:
And of course, of Carter himself, the main man:
Without forgetting any details of his little self:
Grandad even snuck in for some cuddles:
This is an example of what a full gallery looks like. Often, with any shoot, you'll receive 10 digital images, but can purchase as many as you like. It's overwhelming looking at a whole gallery sometimes! Although this is a particularly large gallery.
This took around 1 hour on the whole to capture these. Baby Carter was wide awake, but quite chilled and we didn't need to stop for any changing or feeding in between.
What do you think? Did we achieve the timeless look?
