In-Home Newborn Photography - On a Grey, Dark, Foggy Day | October 2022

This photoshoot turned out to be one of my all time favourites, however I was very nervous before it began.

It was on one of those extremely foggy, freezing cold, grey and dark days. The photo session was booked at home, and I was a little concerned about the light and whether there would be enough to produce decent quality images.

I often ask Mamas to send me a photo of their lightest room in the house, and thankfully this wonderful home had a big bay window in the living room which was where we were doing our shoot. It brought in so much light, as soon as I got there I was put at ease. We had plenty of space, light and their room was beautifully decorated in dark green, which really complimented the white wraps I'd brought along and the neutral colours the family were all wearing.

Should I paint one of the walls in my studio this colour? It's very tempting.

Baby Cora was so sleepy to start with, and we began with some family photos on the sofa. This one is my favourite:

We also did some photos of Cora with Mum & Dad:

And Cora's big brother held her for the first time:

We of course, got some of the beautiful girl herself:

And some details:

Let me know what you think below!
