Recently, I've moved in with my in-laws as my husband, Asa, and I are saving for a house. They live in Wisbech, which is on the edge of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk.
It was difficult transition for me really as I've been in Peterborough all my life and knew so many beautiful places to shoot at, but Wisbech is a small Town, with a singular park, and a lot of fen views. So quite different. I didn't really know where to start.
However, one weekend my in-laws showed took us to Shouldham Warren for a walk. It's probably a 40 minute drive from Wisbech itself. I took my camera to get a feel for the place and fell in love with it. It's quiet, free to park (bonus!) and so picturesque.
Here's some shots I got on our walk:
The orange was so vibrant on all the photos, it was truly beautiful.
You can imagine a family portrait here can't you?
The colours made it so much more diverse.
I'm not hot on what plant this is but I loved the colours. The whole thing reminded me of Jamaica.
Spotted this spider's web on the ground too after it had been raining.
This walk honestly gave me so much inspiration for photos. Sometimes, that's all you need. Just go for a walk and see what jumps out at you, or what runs through your head. Nature will always get the creativity flowing because it's so wonderfully creative itself.
Brought Scrappy Doo along with us but she wasn't up for many photos!
I've got my first shoot at Shouldham Warren this coming Sunday so I will update you as to how it goes! I can't wait to share the photos from this session.
