40 years of marriage is exactly 10 times the length of time that I've been married. How crazy is that? It makes me feel like 4 years is barely anything.
Mr & Mrs Johnson, along with their family, had some photos taken by me on their Wedding Anniversary. It was a gift from Jess, their daughter.
Do you celebrate your anniversary? Asa and I do. It's such a big thing, being married. A huge change in pace in your life. I remember a friend of mine saying to me, on my wedding day: "please don't change now you're a Mrs". But how can you not change? You have someone else to consider 24/7. Although you are separate people, you become one. You have to think of someone else's feelings, someone else's plans and understand how you affect that person. It's not saying you don't think of yourself, but just that you've now begun a new family all of your own.
In just 4 years of being married, I've learnt so much about myself as well as Asa, and it's such an amazing feeling.
It would be lovely to capture that. Perhaps I'll book a photoshoot.
