And Then There Were 4... | Burghley House, Stamford | Family Photography

So, you may actually recognise a few of these people in the photos I'm going to share with you today as I've photographed this family 4 times now...and most recently with their newest member of the family who was just 11 weeks in these photos!

The first time I photographed The Smith Family was when their eldest daughter Phoebe was just 5 weeks old. Since then we did a lovely shoot at Milton Ferry Bridge when Phoebe was 1, they booked a Doortrait with me during the UK Lockdown and Ann-Marie, Phoebe's Nanna bought them a family photo session for Christmas last year!

How lovely is that? I get feedback from most families I photograph and it's always been lovely to hear what they think but for them to come back to have more photographs is just the ultimate compliment. It just proves their words true that they did actually really love their photos the last time. It really makes my day. Plus, I feel so honoured to see their family grow and photograph their milestones for them.

So the milestone this time was that baby Wren has just joined the family as the little sister. What a moment to photograph.

We headed to Burghley House & Gardens in Stamford, which is one of the largest and grandest surviving houses from the 16th Century and it's just 25 minutes from Peterborough.

We took a walk to find some shade, snapped some family portraits with Nanna & Grandad too:

Then, we were guided by the little ones, into a game of Pooh Sticks. There's a lovely bridge over the river at Burghley and Phoebe found it very fun to collect as many sticks as possible and throw them over the bridge! It's a legendary game to those Winnie the Pooh fans.

We also ran..

And they had lots of cuddles..

So yes, as you can see, I'm guided by you for your outdoor photo sessions. When Wren was a little unsettled and wanted feeding from Mum, I spent time with Phoebe and Dad and switched it about depending on what was going on. Overall, it was so lovely and relaxed and captured some wonderful memories for the family!

I hope you enjoyed it, sign up to be notified of my posts from now on if you did, so you will be the first to see them!
