CALTON PHOTOGRAPHY

I hope the photographs I take will live on, long after I’m gone...

Hey there!

I'm Megan Calton, a twenty-something, mum of one, lover of tea and biscuits, story teller and photo taker.

I’ve been behind the camera since 2016, and over the years I’ve found my heart in capturing the quiet, beautiful moments of life — the ones that often go unnoticed, but mean everything. These days, I specialise in small weddings, newborns, families, and maternity photography. My style is timeless, heartfelt, and natural — because I believe the most meaningful photos are the ones that feel real.

When I’m not editing or chasing golden light, you’ll find me hanging out with my family,
watching or playing sports, going on walks, or listening to music with a warm cup of tea in hand (bonus points if there’s a biscuit involved).

My goal? To create photographs that feel like home — the kind of images that you’ll pass down for generations.

I'm so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to tell your story.

Autumn family photo baby

"We had another session with Megan, with our baby girl this time too! We had a mini autumn photoshoot and I love that it comes with prints - often when you have photos it takes ages to get round to printing them yourself, so a lovely touch to get 10 prints included with the shoot. The half hour flew by so quickly and Megan got so many lovely shots in a short time. It was very relaxed with music (she even got "if you're happy and you know it" to make our baby girl smile!!) and blankets to make it cosy. Thank you so much Meg!

TRY THIS OUT FOR ME

I'm a strong believer in a printed photograph. Nowadays, a lot of people simply want the digital photos to upload and post, however try this for me.

Take a moment and look at some photos on your camera roll, then look at some photo albums. Notice how much longer you pore over a printed photo when it's not so easy to scroll.

Ask your friend/family to do the same and count how many seconds they spend on the printed photo compared to the digital photo. Let me know how you get on...
